THE PROJECT

From empty shell to completed venue.

The project brought two individual units together to create one restaurant and bar. The building is listed, so the design had to remain sympathetic to its industrial history.

Woodstone acted as main contractor and delivered the build from the empty shell through to the completed hospitality venue.

The Shed is led by Swansea-born Executive Chef Jonathan Woolway, who returned home after 16 years with St John in London. Since opening, the venue has attracted national attention and guide recognition, including inclusion in the MICHELIN Guide and recognition in the Good Food Guide’s 2026 Best Local Restaurants.
